The date and venue have been set for the 2015 out-of-home care conference

The Department for Child Protection and Family Support is collaborating with the community services sector to host the 2015 festival of learning event that will focus on improving outcomes for children in out-of-home care.

“Learning Together, Growing Together” is the theme of the two-day conference to be held in Perth, Western Australia. It is being organised by a planning committee formed from the Department for Child Protection and Family Support and the community services sector.

"As we journey together on out-of-home care reforms, there is much to discuss, share and learn from each other," said DCPFS Director General Emma White, when she announced the date, venue and other details.

Well-known international expert on child trauma Dr Bruce Perry will be a keynote speaker. He is founder of the Child Trauma Academy in Houston, Texas, USA.

The conference format will include concurrent break-out sessions, based on learning streams.

Technology Park has good bus access.
