Explore how outcomes measurement can be applied in out-of-home care at this workshop on Monday 7 September 2015

This workshop is for anyone in the out-of-home care sector, whether you have already embarked upon the outcomes measurement journey or have not yet begun.

You will see specific examples of how outcomes measurement is being applied in the out-of-home care sector. Download the booking form (146 kb)

We know that organisations providing services in out-of-home care are at different stages in the journey to measure outcomes. Those that have already started are doing it in different ways to suit their organisation. This workshop is an opportunity to share information - who is doing what, what are the impacts on the organisation and staff, what sort of implementation planning works, what are the challenges...

There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion. During the workshop, we will gather information to help us identify where future resources and training can support the sector.

Key presenters will be Anglicare WA, UnitingCare West and Centrecare. These three organisations are at different stages of development of their outcome measurement systems and will share with participants the challenges, different systems for measurement, and what organisations have to do to get started. Other people and organisations that are progressing outcome measurement will be able to share their experiences and learnings.

The workshop will explore:

  • What are the building blocks for measuring outcomes?
  • What is the process for getting measurement in place?
  • What are the challenges?
  • How are some out-of-home care organisations applying outcome measurement?
